Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Erstveröffentlichung Caecilia ist eine der wenigen weiblichen Heiligen, die in der katholischen Lehre eine Rolle spielen. Sie wurde als Schutzheilige der Musik seit Ende des 15. Jh. verehrt. Fannys „Fest“ basiert auf der im Jahre 856 entstandenen Messe der heiligen Caecilie, die traditionell am 22. November zelebriert wird. Gehört zu den schönsten Werken Fanny Hensels. Saint and matyr of the early Christian church, honored as patroness of music since the late 15th century, Cecilia is one of the few female saints evoked in the canon of the Catholic Mass. It is a really doxological piece - a short hymn on words of praise ascribing glory to God.
