Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Die Temperemental Suite wurde durch den Bassposaunisten Johannes Bigler angeregt, der ein Werk mittleren Schwierigkeitsgrades für seine Meisterkurse wünschte. Die grosse Herausforderung für ein Instrument allein zu schreiben liegt in der Suche nach Stimmungen und Farben, die das Interesse des Zuhörers fesseln. Die 4 Temperamente schienen mir ideal geeignet. Im Mittelalter glaubte man, das Temperament einer Person sei mit der Dominanz der 4 Körpersäfte verbunden. Wenn es die gelbe Galle ist, ist die Person cholerisch (1. Satz). Zu viel Phlegma bringt Faulheit, Laschheit, Apathie (2. Satz), ein Überschuss an schwarzer Galle Melancholie und dunkle Gedanken (3. Satz). Dominiert das Blut, hat die Person einen rötlichen Teint, ist von froher Natur, optimistisch und Spassliebend (4. Satz) The inspiration for Temperamental Suite came from bass trombonist Johannes Bigler, who asked for a piece of moderate difficulty to use in his master classes. The great challenge in writing a piece for a solo instrument is finding a way to vary the mood and colors enough to maintain the listener's interest. Musically illustrating the 'four temperaments' proved to be an ideal way to do so. In the European Middle Ages it was thought that a person's temperament was determined by which of the four 'fluids' of the body was dominant. If ‘yellow bile' was predominant, the person would be choleric (movement 1), i.e. angry; too much ‘phlegm' made the person phlegmatic, stolid, sluggish, apathetic (movement 2); an excess of ‘black bile' gave rise to the melancholic or gloomy personality (movement 3); and if the blood was the dominant humor, the person would be sanguine, that is, have a ruddy complexion and be cheerful, fun-loving, optimistic (movement 4). Temperemental Suite a été inspirée par le tromboniste basse Johannes Bigler, qui a commandé une pièce de difficulté moyenne pour ses cours de maître. Ecrire pour un instrument seul est un défi pour varier l'humeur et les couleurs afin de garder l'intérêt de l'auditeur. Illustrer les 4 tempéraments s'est avéré être une forme idéale pour ce faire. Au cours du Moyen Âge européen, l'on pensait que le tempérament d'une personne était lié au dominant des quatre 'fluides' du corps. Si c'est la bile jaune, la personne est colérique (1er mouvement). Trop de flegme engendre paresse, mollesse, apathie (2e mouvement) et un excès de bile noire implique mélancolie et mauvaises pensées (3e mouvement).
