Die Uraufführung spielten die Stimmführer des Armenischen Symphonieorchesters am Kongress des Komponistenverbandes dieses Landes. Die ausdrucksvolle Stimme der G-Flöte (alternierend C-Flöte) verbunden mit den intensen Klangfarben des Cellos, bietet, mit nüchternen Mitteln, einen dramatischen Dialog von seltener emotionaler Intensität. The Sonata for flute and violoncello (1984) was commissioned by the Armenian Ministry of Culture. The first performance was given by the principals of the Armenian Symphony Orchestra during the Congress of the Armenian Composers Union. The expressive voice of the alto flute in G (alternating with passages with the regular flute in C) and its interaction with the intensity of the violoncello voice provides optimal dramatic effects within the context of the serious, indeed sober, nature of the musical dialog. Cette Sonate pour flûte et violoncelle a été commandée par le Ministère de la Culture d'Arménie et composé en 1984. La première fut donnée par les premiers pupitres de l'Orchestre Symphonique d'Arménie à l'occasion du Congrès de l'Union des Compositeurs d'Arménie. La voix expressive de la flûte en Sol (alternant avec des passages de flûte en Do) mêlée à celle, intense, du violoncelle, offre, avec de sobres moyens, un dialogue dramatique d'une rare intensité émotionelle.
