Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti	Tedesco: Suite Antique ist ein konzertantes Werk von John Rutter, das 1979 für Cembalo, Flöte und Streichorchester geschrieben wurde. Rutter komponierte das Stück in sechs Sätzen für ein Konzert, bei dem Bachs fünftes Brandenburgisches Konzert aufgeführt wurde, und beschloss daher, das Stück für dasselbe Ensemble zu schreiben. Dieses Arrangement für Blasorchester und Soloflöte entspricht dem Original, ist jedoch für eine vollständige Bandbegleitung der Soloflöte erweitert. Das Cembalo ist optional und wird an anderer Stelle vorbelegt. Es kann jedoch wie in der Originalpartitur von Cembalo oder einem elektronischen Keyboard mit einer ähnlichen Einstellung gespielt werden. Ein Jazz-Schlagzeug ist optional im vierten Satz (Jazz-Walzer) enthalten, und andere Perkussionteile werden in anderen Sätzen diskret hinzugefügt. Es ist spannend, frühere musikalische Formen zu hören, die in die heutige musikalische Wertschätzung einfließen, und diese Vertonung eines Flöten-Solos mit Blasorchester ist sowohl für den Solisten als auch für die Band besonders erfrischend. Das komplette Set ist ebenfalls verfügbar. Inglese: Suite Antique is a 1979 concertante work by John Rutter that is written for harpsichord, flute and string orchestra. Rutter composed the piece, in six movements, for a concert at which Bach's fifth Brandenburg concerto was to be performed, and so decided to write the piece for the same ensemble. This arrangement for Concert/Wind Band and Solo Flute adheres to the original presentation, but is expanded for a full band accompaniment to the solo flute. The harpsichord is optional, being cued elsewhere, but may be performed as in the original score by either harpsichord or an electronic keyboard with a similar setting. A jazz drumset is optionally included in the fourth (jazz waltz) movement, and other percussion discretely added in other movements. It is exciting to hear earlier musical forms brought into today's music appreciation, and this setting of a flute solo with band is especially refreshing for both soloist and band.
