Ulteriori informazioni / contenuti
Part 3 of the Daedalus show begins with a hauntingly beautiful fragment of the Navy hymn 'Eternal Father, Strong to Save,” which quickly leads to an emotional statement of the melody by the full ensemble. As the tempo climbs, fragments of the initial melody lead us back to a dramatic reprise of the first movement. The show ends as it began, providing a satisfying conclusion to the musical and dramatic arc. Staging and costuming opportunities abound in this show, suggested by both the familiar story and the intensity of the music. A stunning contribution by a talented writer!
